Takoda Tavern Finds a Kindred Spirt and “Friend to All” in Redstone Bank.

Published July 29, 2024

Since opening its doors in 2009, Takoda Tavern has focused on a special kind of hospitality.

Takoda Tavern opened its doors in 2009 by owners Bob and Nancy Nobles. Takoda means “Friend to All” in the Native American Sioux language. And that’s what this tavern is all about: hospitality served with a side of friendliness, along with great food and cocktails. Bob and Nancy have lived in the Parker, Colorado, area since the 1990s and knew they could offer this region a unique bar and tavern with an open and bright architectural design.

Takoda Tavern’s journey began in a humble strip mall, but its popularity and success led to the construction of its own building in 2018. This expansion not only allowed them to cater to a larger clientele, with a capacity to accommodate up to 350 customers at a time but also provided a stunning second-floor space for hosting private events, offering a breathtaking view of the mountains.

When asked what makes Takoda Tavern unique, owner Bob explains, “Our staff is what makes us truly special; they are outstanding. They care about our customers. We are proud to support military veterans, Native Americans, and many local community projects and fundraisers. We strive to support our community.” They credit their success to their loyal customer base, which has supported them throughout the years. They couldn’t have done it without them.

Bob loves how much owning a business in Parker allows him and his staff to connect to the community. He said, “We truly enjoy meeting and serving all of our customers, whether they are our regulars, new to the area, or just passing through visiting Colorado.” And when planning for the future, Takoda Tavern plans to continue its annual fundraisers, bike runs, and events that give them the opportunities to interact with the community.

Takoda Tavern and Redstone Bank have been partners for a number of years. Both businesses are centered around relationships, providing outstanding service, and meeting the needs of their customers.

Bob explains why he’s had such a great experience working together. “The staff at Redstone Bank has been extremely helpful in providing us with guidance, support, and wonderful customer service. The employees truly make a difference; when you meet with them, they treat you like one of their own. When we decided to make the switch to Redstone, it was because our previous bank was making it very difficult to work with them and made us feel not as important as some of their other customers.” And with the new Parker branch opening in August 2024, Bob will have Redstone Bank just right down the street from him now.

Bob summed it up perfectly, “We appreciate our relationship with Redstone Bank and look forward to many years of continued business together.”
