Meet Cameron at Redstone

Cameron has been with Redstone Bank for just over a year, bringing over 27 years of banking experience to the Compliance Analyst role. Growing up in Denver, Colorado (though born in Kansas City, Kansas), Cameron’s first job was as a dishwasher. Later, he discovered a love for banking. Since then, his career has spanned several banks, always focusing on compliance.

As a Compliance Analyst, Cameron reviews real estate loans, examines day-to-day transactions, and ensures everything follows regulations. “I review real estate loans before they get sent out for closing,” he says, “and I work on exams and all compliance-related transactions.” His precision and focus help ensure smooth transactions for Redstone’s clients, a key role in maintaining trust and security.

When asked about the best part of working at Redstone, Cameron’s answer is simple and heartfelt: “My co-workers.” This camaraderie is a hallmark of Redstone Bank, where staff members feel like family. “Respectful, Pride, and Family,” he says when asked to describe Redstone Bank. And that spirit shines through, especially during Redstone’s holiday gatherings, with the Christmas party standing out as Cameron’s favorite memory so far.

Outside of work, Cameron leads a busy and fulfilling life surrounded by family, including four siblings and seven nieces and nephews. He doesn’t have pets and admits he’s a bit of a junk food fan, with ice cream as his ultimate favorite! When he’s not diving into bank policies or spending time with family, Cameron enjoys writing and drawing cartoon characters—one of his hidden talents.

He’s also a fan of Doctor Who and has a soft spot for anything tropical when it comes to vacations. Florida ranks as his top destination, and he dreams of eventually retiring someplace warm.

A surprising fact about Cameron? He preached a sermon in front of his church at just 15 years old—a testament to his confidence and dedication to his community. Cameron explains why he thinks people should choose a community bank: “It’s like banking with family. We care about you and your financial needs and goals.”
