Where every visit is an adventure and every customer is part of the show

For over 55 years, Greg and Chris Reinke have been crafting something truly unique in the heart of Littleton. What began as a costume and magic shop has grown into a year-round destination for theatrical wonder, immersive experiences, and one of Colorado’s most beloved haunted houses.

Now located in downtown Littleton since 1999, Reinke Brothers is more than a store—it’s a show. “We’re in the entertainment industry,” says Greg. “Everything about our business is part of the experience. Even the bathrooms are part of the show.”

A Haunted House Unlike Any Other

Each fall, Reinke Brothers transforms into a family-friendly haunted house that draws between 18,000 and 30,000 visitors. But don’t expect blood, gore, or chainsaws. “We don’t do any of that,” Greg explains. “We use animatronics, illusions, special effects, and live actors. It’s spooky, not scary. We’re the only haunted house that can offer a children’s tour.”

On weekend mornings in October, the lights go on and kids get a behind-the-scenes look at how the magic is made—no nightmares required. “If you can entertain the parents with the children, you can make a lot of people happy,” Greg says. “And that’s where the value is.”

When I walk in, people know my name. I don’t have to wait for someone ‘important’ to maybe help me. Everyone is kind, helpful, and they talk to you like a person.

Costumes, Magic, and a Disney-Inspired Experience

With over 6,000 costumes for sale and 10,000 more available for rent, Reinke Brothers is a treasure trove for Halloween lovers, theater groups, and partygoers. But it’s the immersive, Disneyland-inspired layout that keeps customers exploring. “We want you to have an adventure here,” Greg says. “When people come in, they don’t know where to go—so they just start shopping.”

The store also hosts live bands and magicians during the Halloween season, turning a visit into a full-fledged event. And while big-box stores may sell seasonal décor, Reinke Brothers is open year-round, serving a loyal customer base that appreciates quality, creativity, and a touch of theatrical flair.

A Banking Relationship That’s Personal

For Greg, relationships are everything—especially when it comes to banking. After years with larger institutions, he found what he was looking for at Redstone Bank. “You guys are awesome,” he says. “When I walk in, people know my name. I don’t have to wait for someone ‘important’ to maybe help me. Everyone is kind, helpful, and they talk to you like a person.”

Greg recalls a moment that sealed the deal: “During Halloween, I get a lot of cash. Another bank charged me to deposit it, 3% after $3,000. I came to Redstone and asked if they did that. They looked at me like I was crazy. ‘No, we don’t do that.’ So, I moved my accounts over. Period.”

A Community Staple with a Showman’s Heart

As a board member of the Littleton Merchants Association, Greg believes in building strong local ties. “It’s all about rapport,” he says. “Whether it’s with customers or your bank, relationships matter. And Redstone knocks it out of the ballpark.”

With decades of history, a flair for the theatrical, and a commitment to community, Reinke Brothers continues to enchant generations of Coloradans—one costume, illusion, and haunted hallway at a time.
